Jeremy is an investigations and disputes lawyer with broad experience conducting investigations (both internal and regulatory) and commercial litigation for multinational companies and financial institutions.

He specialises in large-scale multi-jurisdictional investigations with many moving parts, including in particular investigations involving cybersecurity issues and financial misconduct, both for U.S. and Australian regulators and for corporations undertaking internal investigations and responding to search warrants, compulsory document production, and interview orders. 

He regularly advises clients across the APAC region on their business conduct and ethics programs and assists with reviews and training in respect of clients’ anti-money laundering and anti-bribery policies, threat mitigation and incident detection, and response processes.

Jeremy also has considerable experience conducting litigation, primarily in the context of financial services, cybersecurity, white collar crime, contentious insolvency and employment law.

Representative experience

Advising a U.S.-Listed multinational to respond to document production and compulsory interview orders issued by regulators in the U.S. and APAC in respect of alleged financial misconduct.

Assisting a global consulting business to investigate alleged financial and workplace misconduct by senior personnel in its APAC subsidiaries.

Assisting a European bank to respond to a regulatory investigation into the setting of LIBOR and EURIBOR.*

Assisting a U.S. regulator to investigate international brokers and dealers located in Europe, the United States, and Asia for evidence of misconduct.*

Acting in proceedings to challenge the seizure of data pursuant to search warrants and protect the confidentiality of data pending the resolution of privilege claims.*

Acting for an international accounting business to respond to a substantial data breach resulting in the theft of confidential information and advising on mitigation strategy.*
