The e-Information Age: Understanding and managing the risks of electronically stored data

The rise of online activity has increased the need for prudent management of electronically stored information by businesses. There are a number of legal risks which management and legal functions should consider and address when establishing systems and procedures. In litigation it can mean success or failure in the conduct of a case.

In this two-part seminar, we will hear from lawyers and technical experts familiar with these issues and consider the challenges facing businesses.

We will also address the implications of the pilot scheme on electronic documentary discovery in the Commercial List which became effective on 1 September 2014.

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Information governance: supporting your business, legal, regulatory and risk requirements;
  • Data protection and privacy: don't be the next headline;
  • E-discovery: the new Court requirements and practical guidance.
    Part 1: 5:30 – 6:30 pm
    Part 2: 6:45 – 8:00 pm
    (1 CPD point applied for each Part)
