Clients rely on Maria Durant's counsel in connection with internal corporate and government investigations, government enforcement actions, and complex civil litigation, including qui tam actions.

Maria focuses on defending clients in high-stake cases, including complex civil litigation and government enforcement matters. She has expansive experience representing clients in the Life Sciences and Health Care industry, including medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, health service organizations, and individual providers. She also has experience serving clients in the environmental, real estate, financial services, and construction industries.

Maria recognizes the importance of sound legal advice to her clients' continued financial health and success. She partners with her clients to solve the most challenging legal issues while minimizing risk and disruption.

Previously with Collora LLP, now the Boston office of Hogan Lovells, Maria has been with the firm for over 25 years with a brief sabbatical when she served as a special assistant district attorney in Massachusetts. At Collora LLP, Maria served in a variety of administrative and management roles for the firm including Associate Liaison, Hiring Partner, and Ethics Committee Chair.

Believing firmly that lawyers have a responsibility to serve the communities in which they work and live, Maria spends a fair amount of her time outside of work in service to the bar and to indigent clients. She is also a member of the Boston Bar Association's Council, which is the organization's governing body.
