Preparing for the USMCA’s facility-specific rapid response labor mechanism: The revolution is upon us

On 1 July, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) entered into force. Contained in the USMCA is a regime, the Facility-Specific Rapid Response Labor Mechanism (RRLM), by which imports from Mexico can be blocked from entry into the United States due to violations of Mexican Labor Law at facilities that make such products.
