The rise of FinTech discussed by IFLR

Underlining our position as a FinTech leader, Hogan Lovells currently features in two articles in the International Financial Law Review's FinTech edition, April 2017, discussing the impact of FinTech on financial services and their regulation. 

John Salmon and Mark Parsons' article, ''Fintech regulation unbalances financial services markets'' focuses on the challenges faced by regulators when seeking to strike a balance between compliance and consumer protection on one hand, and competition and innovation on the other hand. The new paradigm introduced by the rise of FinTech is also discussed in ''The shock of the new'', where you can learn from Emily Reid and other commentators on the forthcoming changes, opportunities and difficulties which lie ahead for financial institutions and the FCA, including the significant impact of PSD2.
